Hands-Free Travel
Hi, nice to meet you. My name is Sophia. I am a foreign student at one of the local universities in Japan, and at weekends I work as receptionist at Machi-Nori Head Office.
Aiming for Olympic and Paralympic 2020, MLIT has introduced Hands-Free Travel.
In April 2018, Machi-Nori has been acknowledged by Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transportation and Tourism (MLIT) as one of the Hands-Free Travel Counters.
There are a lot of tourists that come to Japan and travel while carrying around their baggage. But, if tourists do not need to carry around their baggage anymore, we believe that the trip will be more enjoyable. So since 2013, there has been efforts to popularize Hands-Free Travel, like Baggage Delivery Service and Baggage Storage Service.
Here at Machi-Nori, Baggage Delivery Service are not available but we are offering Baggage Storage Service (9:00a.m. ~ 6:00p.m.) and this service is also available to customers that do not use Machi-Nori`s bicycle rental service. Up to 2 units of baggage we charge \300 and this price is cheaper than coin lockers at Kanazawa Station. Also, for tourists whose baggage are too big and can`t fit into coin lockers, you can use Machi-Nori`s baggage storage service.
At Machi-Nori, there are foreign workers (weekends only) that are proficient in English, so if you have anything to ask or such, feel free to visit our head office.
We are waiting for your visit.
