Terms of rental

Chapter 1. General rules

Article 1. (Definitions)

The following terms in the rules for the use of Machinori (hereinafter referred to as the “Rules”) shall have the following meanings:

Public bicycle rental system:

A system for renting public bicycles to users by bringing public bicycles into and taking them from the Cycle Ports during the operating hours.

Public bicycles:

Bicycles for common use in the public bicycle rental system provided by the City of Kanazawa.

Cycle Ports:

Places housing public bicycles equipped with on-road terminals and bicycle-parking apparatus for renting public bicycles and accepting those returned by identifying the personal identification media.

Personal identification media:

The general term for the IC cards and password numbers designated by the Company required for identifying users, unlocking bicycle-parking apparatus, etc. and the user’s own IC cards and cellular phones equipped with IC chips, which are registered in the system designated by the Company.

On-road terminals:

Equipment for registering users, issuing personal identification media, etc.

Bicycle-parking apparatus:

Equipment for storing public bicycles.

Management Office:

The base and contact point for carrying out the management and maintenance of public bicycles and the Cycle Ports, dealing with users, etc.

Article 2. (Application of the Rules)

1. Nihonkai Consultant Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the "Company") shall provide the service of renting public bicycles to individuals and corporations (hereinafter referred to as "user(s)") that want to use Machinori, a public bicycle rental system sponsored by the City of Kanazawa and managed by the Company, in accordance with the Rules. Any matter not stipulated in the Rules shall be dealt with in accordance with laws and ordinances or common practices.

2. The Company may prepare a "users’ guide." If there is any inconsistency between the Rules and the "users’ guide," the "users’ guide" shall take precedence.

3. The Rules shall be applied to all users.
